Margot was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark and came to Canada at the age of 21 seeking adventure. She lived in Montreal for 8 months, then travelled for 2 months through Canada, the United States and Mexico ending up in Vancouver and later in Richmond where she still resides.
Art, travel and photography have always been a part of her life. The art was put on a shelf while she completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Technology, worked as program manager and an instructor as well as raising 2 children. With grown children on their own there is time to focus on the arts.
Nature, photography and travels provide limitless inspiration for painting both on location and in the studio.
She is a Member of Richmond Artists Guild, Richmond Arts Coalition, Men in Hats and Richmond Photo club.
