John Beatty is a Richmond artist who comes from a family of Ontario artists. He has been actively painting for over 60 years and has completed over 1000 mainly acrylic paintings.
Since retiring as a Vancouver elementary teacher, he has continued his love of painting with fellow artists from the Meninhats art group in which he was one of six founding members.
Plein air and studio work focuses on stimulating subjects he can create in his colourful impressionistic style.
