About Kathleen Susan Young and her work:
I am a Vancouver artist whose paintings range from landscapes and figures to abstracts in acrylics, pastels, watercolours, inks, and coloured pencils that reflect my love of nature and colour (somewhere in each painting there is a “heart” and “love”).
I completed art courses at the Federation of Canadian Artists in Vancouver and the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby where I studied watercolours and other media, life drawing, and the painting techniques of the masters and their histories. I continue to add to my knowledge and skills by attending art history lectures, classes, demonstrations and workshops by well-known artists, and experiment with new techniques and materials as my artwork evolves.
In addition to the Richmond Artists Guild, I am a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and Grp4Art.
