About Marv Skelton and his work:
A Vancouver native, Marv began drawing and painting at an early age. The first drawing he remembers is finger painting in the remains of his pudding as a child, and that childlike enthusiasm has never left.
Attending Vancouver School of Art for six months in 1965, he decided the life of a starving artist was not that easy and switched to a career in aviation, which has lasted for over forty years.
Joining the Richmond Artist Guild Life Drawing in 1994, his interest in drawing and painting has been rekindled. He draws and paints regularly with the RAG Life Drawing, Basic Inquiry, and Plein Air. An active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, his work has been exhibited at the Taiwanese Festival, Gateway theatre, Lonsdale Quay, and the Wallflower Modern Diner.
